Chiral Limit Prediction for ε ′ K / ε K at NLO in 1 / N c 1

چکیده
We report on a calculation of εK/εK at next-to-leading in the 1/Nc expansion and to lowest order in Chiral Perturbation Theory. We discuss the short-distance matching, the scale and scheme dependence as well as the long-distance short-distance matching. We include the two known chiral corrections to our result and discuss further order p4 corrections to it. Analysis of ε ′ / ε in the 1 / N c Expansion
We present a new analysis of the ratio ε′/ε which measures the direct CP violation in K → ππ decays. We use the 1/Nc expansion within the framework of the effective chiral lagrangian for pseudoscalar mesons. The 1/Nc corrections to the hadronic matrix elements of all operators are calculated at leading order in the chiral expansion. Performing a simple scanning of the input parameters we obtain...
متن کاملA New Estimate of Ε ′ / Ε ♮
We discuss a new estimate of ε/ε in the kaon system. The present approach is based on the evaluation of the hadronic matrix elements of the ∆S = 1 effective quark lagrangian by means of the chiral quark model, with the inclusion of meson one-loop renormalization and NLO Wilson coefficients. The estimate here reviewed is fully consistent with the ∆I = 1/2 selection rule in K → ππ decays, which i...

Dispersive effects from strongππ rescattering in the final state interaction (FSI) of weak K → ππ decays are revisited with the goal to have a global view on their relative importance for the I = 1/2 rule and the ratio ε′/ε in the standard model (SM). We point out that this goal cannot be reached within a pure effective (meson) field approach like chiral perturbation theory in which the dominan...
متن کامل1 A New Prediction for Direct CP Violation ε ′ / ε and ∆ I = 1 / 2 Rule
The low energy dynamics of QCD is investigated with special attention paid to the matching between QCD and chiral perturbation theory(ChPT), and also to some useful algebraic chiral operator relations which survive even when we include chiral loop corrections. It then allows us to evaluate the hadronic matrix elements below the energy scale Λ χ ≃ 1 GeV. Based on the new analyzes, we present a c...
متن کاملThe ∆i = 1/2 Rule and Ε ′ /ε in the Chiral Quark Model
I discuss the role of the ∆I = 1/2 selection rule in K → ππ decays for the theoretical calculations of ε/ε . Lacking reliable “first principle” calculations, phenomenological approaches may help in understanding correlations among different contributions and available experimental data. In particular, in the chiral quark model approach the same dynamics which underlies the ∆I = 1/2 selection ru...
